Wolf Sirens Tour, Review, Excerpt & Giveaway

Hey everyone! Today I have an excerpt, review and giveaway for you all as part of the Wolf Sirens review tour.
BLURB:

When Lila unwillingly moves to the country town of Shade, she can’t imagine the life-altering events that lie in wait for her. Shade has a curfew and has always been surrounded by myths. A central feature of the town is its famous statue of Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt, whose spirit is said to protect the innocent.

Lila falls in with a group of intriguing teenagers with luminescent eyes and soon she is drawn into the shadowlands of fantasy and reality, where destiny collides.

A mysterious local girl, Cresida, warns her to stay away, but Lila is drawn to them like a moth to a flame.

Cresida knows their fatal secret and she is honour-bound to protect those who are endangered. But she underestimates Lila’s passion for the mysterious and charismatic clan of youths. Lila begins to feel a call she cannot ignore. Yet her heart is filled with vulnerable desires that begin to turn the underworld upside down, for both hunter and hunted, as she learns they have been waiting for her…

Inspired by the legend of the mythical femme fatale, Wolf Sirens is an intimate tale of unrequited and forbidden love in the underworld, a masterpiece of romance fantasy.

My Review
Lila moves to a new town with her mom and has to start over. She feels lonely and ignored. She can't help be drawn to the cool crowd of beautiful girls. They have it all she believes. She also wonders why everyone in town has to be in at night. When she gets an in to the cool crowd she is over the moon. Little does she realize she may be headed down a bad path. Even with a warning from a girl named Cresida she still wants to be part of the crowd. Will she figure things out or is it to late.

I like Lila's character. You can see where she is coming from. Her parents are not together, she has to move and no one pays her any attention. I can see where being a part of the cool crowd would have it's appeal even when people warn you to stay away. I liked watching her come out her shell. The only part i didn't like about her is when she became a lovesick fool. But hey I remember being a teen and in love I can totally see it. The other characters are just as intriguing and they draw you in as you try to see just what is making them tick.

The author does a wonderful job putting her own spin in mythology. Yes there is a lot of werewolf books out but these one will have no problem standing out on it's own. The way it is written is wonderful and seems different. I really like the authors way of writing. The plot has a twist to it that does leave you wanting more. the only reason this gets 4 instead of 5 stars is it does slow down a few times. I guess you could say it gives you a minute to catch your breath. If you think you have read all the same old books about werewolves pick this one up. I am sure it will change your mind.
4 out of 5 Stars

Excerpt
I felt like I was part of him, like our flesh had been separated, like his blood was mine and now we were united. I wanted to know everything. I considered it inevitable now that I would become one of them. There was no way I could leave him or not be part of his world; I would die first and the more of him I had the more I wanted. It was like I had been living in a grey tunnel and all of a sudden every colour imaginable was revealed to me and I could look up and see all around me. As though there were a million directions to go, but all I wanted to do was walk towards him. I realized what it was to be alive and to be happy. To be in love and to struggle for each and every wonderfully excruciating breath of life, just to stare into his vivid sapphire eyes.

  3. Does the town of Shade have any characteristics of towns where you've lived? Not the supernatural elements, of course, but the more mundane features?
