To Bed or To Wed
A Darrington Family Novel
By: Sandra Sookoo

Blurb
When an impromptu kiss captures the imagination, either a spark will ignite or family interference will snuff the match.

Charlotte Darrington adores being adored by the men in her circle. She’s in London at the request of her mother, and though her parent wants her to find an eligible gentleman and start a family, Charlotte delays. In her heart of hearts, she wants a man who can hold his own and won’t be cowed.

Nathan Brigham, Marquess of Ravenhurst, is annoyed with the interfering redhead leading his nephew into the evergreen maze. When he would have delivered a dressing down, she stops his words with a kiss. No matter that he finds her attractive and a welcome distraction from his darkly brooding life, he refuses to succumb to Charlotte’s charms. Above everything, he won’t become the savage man his father was.

Once they return to London from a house party at his country estate, the two can’t avoid each other. Stolen kisses and heated glances in shadowy halls as well as a questionable visit to White’s draw them closer. He can’t forget the demons from his past while her persistence to hear a declaration begs the question: to bed or to wed?

My Review
Charlotte has lots of men wanting to marry her but she doesn't want them. Her mother is pushing her to marry before it is to late but Charlotte wants a man who isn't like the others. When she meets Nathan she kisses him to distract him not realizing she would want more. Nathan has a temper and He never wants to be the man his father was. He can't seem to keep Charlotte off his mind and when he should be thinking of marrying another he isn't sure he can. Charlotte may not be a Duke's daughter but she keeps him on his toes. The two keep running into each other and they share more stolen kisses. Charlotte wants more and Nathan has to decide if he wants happiness or to do a family duty.

I enjoyed this more than the first book I believe. From the start you see it isn't like other historical romance with a forbidden love showing up.  enjoyed the author writing about that as it isn't in many books for this genre. On to the main characters. I liked Charlotte as she has confidence and knows who she is. She goes after what she wants even when others tell her it will never happen. Nathan has a reputation for being a man with a temper and most steer clear of him. He really doesn't want to get to close Charlotte as she is constantly pushing him to open up. I didn't like Nathan's sister at all. I wanted someone to smack her and tell her to get her own life. She uses guilt to get what she wants. Nathan becomes a different man and he won my heart with his nephew at the end. This book will keep you turning pages and was a delight to read.
