Do YOU Believe in the Pants?

Each summer, thousands secretly flock to a tiny yet charming hole-in-the-wall known as The Happy Pants Café. And what are they searching for? It’s not coffee. And it’s not pants. It’s true love, and they find it!

So what’s with the quirky name and what, exactly, is the café’s big secret? Harper Branton, a columnist for the San Francisco Tribune, who’d sooner believe in unicorns than in true love, is about to find out. And it’s the perfect story to save her train wreck of a career.

Too bad she’s got competition. He’s sexy, he’s arrogant, and he thinks she’s crazy.(Perhaps a little dangerous, too.) What kind of person doesn’t believe in love? And this coming from a dude!

When these two rivals go head to head, it's more like a WWF smackdown. A shared history binds them in wonderful, terrible ways quickly making their duel about more than just a news story. Will they tear each other apart for the win or end up as two new satisfied Happy Pants customers?

My Review
Harper doesn't believe in true love. She only believes in getting the story she is after. As a columnist her job is on the line if she doesn't get the story behind Happy Pants Cafe. She isn't alone in the hunt for the story another columnist is also trying to get the scoop and he has already almost cost her her job. Austin wants the scoop but he wants Harper more. They have a history and he has never forgot what she did years ago. She left without saying goodbye. Now years later they keep butting heads. The Happy Pants Cafe seems to bring true loves together but these two may be more than even a special cookie can handle.

Austin is a very sexy man. He has plans for his future and he doesn't want to be stuck doing this type of columns. He can be very stubborn, jealous at times and can make you laugh as well. Harper is a facts person. She doesn't believe in nonsense like love. She wants to keep her job. She has a sense of humor some don't get. She can also be very stubborn and has been jealous of Austin for a while.

Whether in anger or lust there always seems to be some kind of heat coming from Harper and Austin. Usually couples in books are opposites or have some in common. Not these two at all. They both seem just a like. What sets one off will set the other off as well. They have the same jobs and while they both want each other something keeps coming between them. There is tons of hilarity in this book. Harper had me laughing several times from pigs to spiders to a whole lot more. I liked the plot of this and all the characters I met while reading it. The back story to the cafe was a very sweet touching one. I look forward to more books in this series as this one makes an amazing start.

Author Info
When San Francisco native, Mimi Jean, went on an adventure as an exchange student to Mexico City, she never imagined the journey would lead to writing Romance. But one Mexican MBA, one sexy Mexican husband, and two rowdy kids later, Mimi would trade in corporate life for vampires, deities, and snarky humor. She continues to hope that her books will inspire a leather pants comeback (for men) and that she might make you laugh when you need it most. She also enjoys interacting with her fans (especially if they’re batshit crazy). You can always find her chatting away on Facebook, Twitter, or saying many naughty words on her show MAN CANDY on Radioslot.com
